About the role

The Organisational Change and Communications Manager will be required to accelerate the development and implementation of OCM plan and strategy for several Transformation / Transition projects of our client.

Required experience

  • High level experience in the delivery of communication and engagement activities and outcomes
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills in conducting research and evaluation to develop and implement communication and change strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain trusted partnerships with stakeholders across an agency with a focus on effective engagement, advocacy, collaboration and negotiation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work activities according to schedule demands and organise stakeholders using physical and virtual meetings.
  • Develop and facilitate delivery of comprehensive and supportive change management strategy, implementation plan and activities that will support and assist with project delivery.
  • Liaise with business process owners, subject matter experts and business analysts to understand the needs of business and include them in change implementation plans.
  • Work as part of a larger project team under the direction of the Program Manager and in conjunction with other discipline leads.
  • Identify interdependencies and work with Program to balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to different organisational cultures and to new ideas

Required Skills

  • Change management accreditation (PROSCI, CMBoK etc.)
  • Demonstrated application of change management methodologies, ideally in a portfolio or program environment (communications background preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and undertake stakeholder assessments, change impact assessments, training needs analysis and change readiness assessments and to manage related registers and plans.
  • Experience within complex businesses (Qld Government organisations preferred).
  • Confidence managing Technology change within a state-wide organisation.
  • Demonstrated high-level time management and organisational skills, as well as advanced written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be happy to travel through the state if and when required.
