ICT - Project Support Officer

Government Client

Duration: Initially until December 2024 (+ likely extensions)

Rate: $600.79 Inc Super

Location: North-Eastern Brisbane, QLD

Work Arrangements: WFH 2 days per week

Purpose

Our government client is seeking a Project Support Officer to assist in improvements for a mobile-based application and desktop services project. Currently in its Delivery Phase with training, onboarding and release of the application to Frontline Volunteers across the state.

As the Project Support Officer, you will work closely with the Project Manager in the administration, monitoring and reporting of all aspects of project, including scope, cost, budget and funding, timing, delivery and engagement where applicable whilst at all times maintaining a customer focus.



Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Change Manager to ensure projects align with objectives.
  • Assist Project Team in engaging User Groups and external stakeholders.
  • Focus on training and onboarding User Groups during project delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support project delivery, including scope alignment, budget management, and contract administration.
  • Prepare and communicate project reports to stakeholders.
  • Efficiently manage project resources in coordination with Project Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as directed.

Skills and knowledge

  • Demonstrated experience in Project Support Officer role or similar
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other computer applications
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for team and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues effectively.
  • Proven track record in coordinating projects and meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with contract management principles and administration
  • Ability to research and analyze contract administration legislation, policies, and practices
  • Skilled in preparing comprehensive reports and documentation
  • Proficient in meeting procedures and agenda/minutes production
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of quality processes and services
