Our client is seeking an experienced Project Specialist to join a Site Acquisition & Design team. He team is responsible for rolling out upgrade to major mobile wireless telecommunications sites with the support of their third-party vendors.
The role:
- Tasked with the delivery of managing third party vendors to deliver wireless networks
- Managing several smaller upgrade projects
- The delivery of assigned projects to meet the desired expectations - Normally several concurrent smaller projects
- Manage expectations of stakeholders and delivery partners (including internal and external customers), drive change and negotiate successful project outcomes with in a complex environment
- Liaise with internal staff and external contractor stakeholders (RF engineers, Property, planning and design consultants)
- Ensure effective communication to stakeholder on project progress risks/issues
The candidate:
- MUST HAVE SITE ACQUISITION OR WORKED ON WIRELESS UPGRADE PROJECTS
- Worked as a Project Specialist for a telecommunications company
- 5 years exp (suits a mid level person due to the size of the projects / sites)
- Extensive Site Acquisition experience - Can hit the ground running
- Could be from a carrier or vendor
- Knowledge of site acquisition planning processes - specifically upgrade
- Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of Network Delivery projects
- Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of the Network Delivery Supplementary Services [contractor delivery model and can display astute commercial acumen in the delivery of contracted works
- Experience reading, interpreting and reviewing design drawings
- Project management certificate preferred but not essential
