Radio Systems Specialist

  • Initial 2-year fixed term contract with the opportunity to extend for a further year

Work with a major WA household name that is currently in the midst of a large-scale digital transformation. This business has a great impact on the people of Perth and is a valued pillar of the community.

The role:

Initially, you will be at the forefront of supporting the business's "go-to market" activities as the team prepares to partner with a vendor and roll out a cutting-edge radio network upgrade.

As the project progresses into delivery, you will be supported in ensuring the safe technical transformation across WA, whilst keeping the existing technology environment operational and intact, allowing various systems and software to continue to operate effectively.

This is safety-critical environment, and any experience in working in a comparable industry is highly desirable

If you have an engineering background and experience in rolling out complex telecommunication upgrades, along with the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders, this could be an excellent opportunity to make an impact.

Responsibilities:

Plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems and operations systems.

Apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve systems issues.

Maximize IT systems investments to optimize operational efficiency.

Key Experience:

Strong experience in information technologies and systems analysis.

Experience in Public Safety Radio Networks or safety-critical industries - Mining, Rail, Defence, etc.

Exposure to radio systems and technologies. P25 radio networks, wireless LAN, LTE, and satellite communications.

Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions.
