Our Federal Government Client is looking for a Senior M365/Cloud Engineer to provide professional and efficient technical support and administration services, working closely with a team of engineering peers and other technical specialists to support the Client's Modern Workplace initiative.

Part of the Senior M365 / Cloud Engineers role involves:

  • Ongoing participation in the design, build and implementation of the Client's program solution, including service optimisation, service improvement, sustainment and business continuity.
  • Participation in cyber and physical security support and advice to clients, including Minister's offices, department staff, executive and portfolio agencies.
  • Delivery of key enhancements and projects with a strong focus on uplifting department capability, driving innovation, data analytics and automation.
  • Development and delivery of engagement and awareness products to support clients.

Requirements for Senior M365/Cloud Engineer:

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of cloud-based SaaS solutions including Microsoft 365 (including but not limited to Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, MS TEAMS, InTune and Defender).
  • Detailed understanding of Data Loss Prevention, Archiving, eDiscovery, and Compliance.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Infrastructure stack (Windows desktop and server), Microsoft Application & Azure Stacks including Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Sound understanding of Network components (including Azure Cloud services) such as routing, firewalls and network management and security principles.
  • Experience in Applications Packaging using InTune and AVD such as MSIX and Remote App.
  • Proven knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft PowerShell, VB Script and other automation technologies.
  • Familiarity working within ITSM Frameworks (such as ITIL etc.)

This role is on an initial 12-month contracts with two (2) possible 12-month contract extension options. It is the Client's preference for the work to be done in Canberra with a minimum 2-3 full days per week in the office. Remote/flexible work arrangements can be discussed with the Specified Personnel's manager upon commencement, and a Working from Home Agreement must be formalised.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who have active AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
