Qualifications and experience

* Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience, working in a similar procurement role, is essential;
* Experience with the government panel procurement lifecycle and the application of procurement policies and procedures;
* Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate and simplify complex concepts and influence decision-makers;
* A customer service focus, attention to detail and be a team player;
* Excellent relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills;
* Strong contract negotiation skills;
* Ability to work within a fast-paced, high volume procurement environment, with a high degree of organisational and planning skills;
* Keenness and speed in understanding, dealing with, and resolving a business situation or problem;
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be accountable for outcomes;
* Demonstrated experience in working with MS Office suite of products;
* Experience dealing with program and project managers, particularly within large scale project orientated organisations;
* Experience within an information technology environment is desirable;
* Relevant government experience will be highly regarded, as will recent experience in the procurement of labour hire and/or professional services.
