We are currently recruiting for a Database Administrator to work in a dynamic team environment within a Government entity.
About the role
The ideal candidate is a DBA who enjoys the hands-on side of delivery and yet is a strategist, aligning business objectives with enterprise architecture through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Map out the conceptual design for a planned database(s)
- Commission and install new applications and customise existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose
- Refine the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model
- Install and test new versions of the database management system (DBMS)
Skills and experience
- SQL Server and Azure SQL Server, SQL, SQL Procedure, SQL Triggers, SQL Jobs, SQL Script for Database backup and re-store, SSRS(Optional), SSIS (Optional) and Azure Data Factory (Optional)
- ETL tool such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory will be an added advantage (not must)
- Experience in maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
- Experience in writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
Candidate must be Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident due to Government role.
