Our Client

With around 150 staff, and worth more than $300m, my client is one of Australia's leading FinTechs, and a major technology innovation award winner.

Their SaaS products are market leading, but to fuel continued scaling, they need a Lead Developer to re-architect their database, building a data warehouse that will allow significantly faster retrieval of data and API performance...

This role is part of a massive greenfield technology investment program, setting technical best practice templates which will drive product and company growth over the next 10 years. This includes a 1.5m line of code monolith re-factoring into micro-services, the full utilisation of AWS and infrastructure-as-code, containerisation, .Net Core and automation testing etc.

Your role in this program, will be to own database performance, which underpins upcoming key strategic initiatives around product performance and re-factoring, API'S, mergers/integration's and security. Success in this role is to architect and build a greenfield Data warehouse to make data retrieval significantly faster. It is highly likely that you will build and lead a team.

Their current database ecosystem is becoming the 'data plumbing' for the wealth accounting space in Australia. It feeds real-time data to more than 70 partner companies and 150k funds, whilst receiving data from more than 100 different sources - every major part of the Australian financial services industry.

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will likely have 15+ years database development and architecture experience, with a proven track record of significantly improving data retrieval speeds through the re-architecture of databases and build of data warehouses.

You will be an MS SQL magician! Postgres, C# and MS stack experience would be good.
