About the role
The Project Manager - Infrastructure role will manage the replacement of critical ICT-related infrastructure from the current phase (procurement) through to implementation for Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH)
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the definition, documentation and successful completion of large scale, often complex projects in line with CHQ's program and project management methodologies.
- Promote and ensure the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
- Identify project risks and controls. Negotiate and implement controls and treatments as necessary and ensure appropriate escalation process is actioned where risks are likely to impact on the project.
- Oversee and manage the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
- Manage, support, and influence a variety of complex stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Manage project resources, expenses, and capital costs against the project forecasts.
- Prepare timely and accurate briefings, reports, submissions, presentations, and other documentation of a detailed and strategic nature related to project initiatives.
- Facilitate change management activities to enable the successful implementation of reformed process.
- Maintain date quality and accuracy by maintaining a robust project record management system in accordance with CHQ's guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Develop a positive culture within Strategic Projects which encourages and recognises high performance, builds leadership capabilities, and supports staff to maximise their health and wellbeing.
Skills and experience
- Experience managing/ delivering complex high value ICT Infrastructure projects
- Experience in Industry standard Project governance framework/s
- Demonstrated experience with technology domains (Infrastructure/ Networking/ Security/ UC/ EUC)
- Experience in Health / Clinical projects highly desirable
