Our client is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join their services team. The team is responsible for maintaining the company's equipment on their and their clients site.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Perform high level support during implementation, upgrading and maintenance of systems
  • Provide leadership to other Support Services Group personnel
  • Assist in the development of work estimates and quotations
  • Provide customer interface regarding resolution of System issues
  • Provide high level support and resolution of customer issues in an agreed timeframe
  • Participate in an On-Call roster
  • Perform and carry out assigned on-site responsibilities for installation, configuration, and commissioning tasks - With support of other teams
  • Perform acceptance tests with customer
  • Supervise field technical staff
  • Provide direction and supervision to sub-contract labour services
  • Review installation plan documentation
  • Review acceptance test plan procedures and methodologies
  • Review as-built documentation
  • Conduct site and RF coverage surveys
  • Conduct on-site equipment inspection and prepare customer inventory report
  • Provide technical assistance during system trials and post-commissioning
  • Provide system trouble-shooting and rectification of technical issues
  • Submit Customer Service Requests as required for the resolution of issues
  • Provide higher level support to Field Technicians
  • Prepare and conduct training when appropriate

Must have's:

  • Experienced System administrator with onsite or field based background
  • Proficient in fault, implementation and commission
  • IT based networking experience (Core equipment) - routers, switches, servers
  • VMware / virtual machine experience
  • Windows 7 /10 based software - reinstall on operating system, wipe clean, reimaging computers
  • Experience with Linux (red hat) and windows servers
  • Drivers Licence, willing to travel 5% interstate, work on call 1 in 3 weeks
  • Relevant certificate / qualifications in Telecommunications engineering

Desirable to have basic knowledge in:

  • Telecommunications RF experience
  • P25 background or worked at a RAN provider. Eg, Huawei
  • First aid certificate & Cablers licence - the company will pay for course if not
