To be successful in this role, you must have held a similar position where you had experience dealing with multiple project teams in a global organisation. You must have exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across global platforms. You are a self-starter who would get your job done with minimal day to day guidance and oversight.
Responsibilities
- Manage VMware virtualisation
- Manage SAN fabric solutions or NAS/SAN technologies
- Setup and configuration of vSphere distributed switches
- Executing physical to Virtual migrations using third party tools
- Configuring and managing Virtual Storage
- Configuring and managing vSAN solution
- Design, implement backup technologies - CommVault and NetBackup
- Scripting/automating routine tasks and deployments using PowerShell
Skills
- Expert level skills on VMware virtualisation
- Extensive enterprise experience, managing over 200's of ESXi host and 2000+ virtual machines
- Experience with SAN fabric solutions or NAS/SAN technologies
- Expert in server hardware and managing critical data centre infrastructure
- Setup and configuration of vSphere distributed switches
- Executing physical to Virtual migrations using third party tools
- Configuring and managing Virtual Storage
- Configuring and managing vSAN solution
- Design, implement backup technologies - CommVault and NetBackup
- Experience scripting/automating routine tasks and deployments - PowerShell
- Experience working in large, complex environment
- Excellent documentation and report writing skills are a requirement for this role.
