Experienced Senior Project Manager required for a 12 month contract with large Queensland organisation. Based in Brisbane with some WFH flexibility, you will be involved in a program involving a number of linked projects designed to deliver wider end-to-end solutions needed, and scale up over time in alignment with the organisations business plan.
As the Digital Project Manager, you will be working directly with an Engineering Project Manager, and will be involved managing the design, planning and execution of the digital work. The environment you will manage is complex and diverse, and you therefore should have a good understanding of ICT, particularly cloud infrastructure, data flow integrations, and cross-network boundary data flows.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Demonstrated extensive experience (at least 10 years) managing the end-to-end delivery of ICT projects in large organisations, particularly involving cloud infrastructure and data flow integrations
- Excellent people skills, including building and maintaining relationships, connecting people, managing expectations, building confidence, and creating value for stakeholders throughout the project
- Excellent leadership and team building skills, with teams consisting of permanent and contract staff working at different locations, and external project services partners engaged on an outcome basis
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at executive and operational levels, including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage expectations and resolve conflict
- Extensive experience in leading and managing a mix of internal and external resources, including vendors, to deliver project outcomes within time, quality and cost metrics
- The following would also be advantageous:
- Formal Project Management accreditation/ qualification
- Experience delivering projects within a Government Owned Corporation (GOC)
- Knowledge in electrical engineering
