About the Role
As Operations Process Improvement Manager you will be developing the strategy and driving through the Centre of Excellence concept. You will identify and develop projects to achieve these outcomes and will then deliver the projects and any initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Centre of Excellence concept
  • Develop an environment which fosters the opportunity for operational improvement initiatives to be identified and developed for implementation
  • Lead the evaluation of operational processes
  • Ensure outcomes are in line with business direction, reform agenda and maintenance reform
  • Lead the development of documentation, governance frameworks and auditable systems
  • Manage delivery of process projects
  • Manage all commercial aspects including budgets, procurement and tracking of benefits
  • Liaise with change managers to help facilitate implementation to ensure outcomes are delivered
  • Provide high level advice to Senior Management regarding business improvement initiatives
  • Build & manage stakeholder relationships

Experience

  • Previous experience in an Operations Process Improvement Manager or Process Manager role
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering or Management discipline
  • Prefer knowledge of Rail Technology
  • Industrial Relations and some union experience
  • High level understanding of interface issues between the engineering and technical disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and delivery
  • Proven ability to drive and deliver change and business unit transformation
  • Experience in identifying and drive process improvements
  • Demonstrated commercial and business acumen and planning skills
  • Experience in managing direct and indirect teams to achieve outcome
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills including stakeholder management
  • Strong leadership skills with proven management experience,
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex industrial relations and people management issues
