Our client, one of Australia's largest vocational education providers, is looking for a Manager - Release and Environment to manage and deploy the release of multiple applications, updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, projects, and programs into the production environment. An initial 6-month initial contract with good chance of extensions.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the frameworks for implementing and managing the release process through development, test and production environments.
- Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and support developers and testers to deliver the build/ development/ test / environments.
- Contribute to the improvement of the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying and updating software and environments.
- Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities to deliver an IT Release Calendar to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget and that, they meet and or exceed business expectations.
- Lead the effort of defining the IT strategic direction for release management tools for IT to ensure the process requirements of release and environment management are built in.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience with PeopleSoft application (preferred).
- Experience with integration with legacy systems and data alignment across environments to support UAT and Production cutover
- Be able to meet the focus capabilities as stated above
