Our client is looking for a Junior Project Manager with experience working as a Business Analyst in the applications space. Ideally you will have experience working with in-house applications. This is a 6 month initial contract role.
The role:
Working as a part of a small team, you will be leading business application development, with a focus on achieving better business outcomes via application development. You will be expected to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders, combining this with strong customer focus, consultative approach and ability to continuously seek improvement.
Duties will include:
* Reviews and analyses the department's business, including its business intentions, business services, business processes and information needs, in order to implement Information related Technology (IT) changes that lead to business improvements.
* Engages extensively between the business units, organisational stakeholders and IT solutions delivery teams to review and analyse the business in terms of its business services, business processes, organisational structure and other relevant information to assist the business in identifying the best way to effect business change through IT and achieve its business goals.
* Compiles functional and technical requirements for new business applications and provide detailed design via screen mock-ups of solution addressing the requirements
* Provides support to development team during development phase, including sprint planning, testing and demos to business stakeholders
* Responsible for testing and support of business for user acceptance testing
* Arranging go-live of newly developed product in cooperation with business stakeholders, development team and other relevant stakeholders
Skills and experience:
* Experience with requirements analysis for IT business applications
* Problem assessment skills
* Ability to translate problems into opportunities via solution design
* Previous experience leading a development team to implement solution
