An experienced Instructional Designer is required to work within a friendly team of Instructional Designers to assist with the development of all the materials required to support the training of coaches and branch staff, plus the coaching of staff in the branches following the training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a project management plan
  • Own training/induction budget and schedule
  • Identify and contribute to stream risks, issues, assumptions, constraints and dependencies
  • Select a design and development model appropriate for the initiative and target audience
  • Select and/or modify existing instructional materials
  • Design instruction that reflects the diversity and maturity of the learners - immediate and future
  • Evaluate and assess instruction and its impact
  • Identify, manage and document signoff on all materials from key stakeholders
  • Design implementation plan including post implementation support plan
  • Contribute to the stream Change Readiness plan to ensure end users are ready for delivery of induction materials
  • Train the trainer - working to upskill trainers in how to present courseware to new team members

Key skills include:

  • Communicate effectively in visual; oral and written form - small and large groups, workshops and training sessions
  • Demonstrate an ability to grasp technical content
  • Develop training/induction program materials
  • Selection of fit for purpose media
  • Build instructional strategies
  • Strong analytical skills: job, task, process and/or content
