Our Federal Government client is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist. This is an initial 12 Months contract with a potential 12 months extension option. Canberra based role must have Baseline Clearance.
About the Team
The client's Digital Identity Services (DIS) portfolio develops, maintains and supports client critical identity, authentication and authorisation (DIS) applications. The teams are delivering on client's digital initiatives like client integration, digital mailbox and digital identity app. DIS portfolio has a suite of technologies like Python, .NET/SQL, Java/CA certificate, cryptographic software for new generation technologies like Angular JS/Mongo, integration services with Document Verification Service (DVS) and integrate Facial Verification Service (FVS) into core platforms
About the Role
- Infrastructure Specialist required for designing, building, deploying, documenting, transitioning and assisting with supporting production infrastructure solutions.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies and provide specialist advice and guidance to the Department.
- Identifying and automating points of manual work when onboarding new systems;
- Maintaining existing integration and delivery pipelines;
- Providing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) support;
- Actively work to automate our infrastructure provisioning and deployment approach;
- Assisting in the development of frameworks, practices and skills needed to provide DevOps as 'Everything as a Service'.
- Lead the implementation of solution architectures where those architectures are centred on IT infrastructure.
- Produce detailed infrastructure designs for implementation, based on Departmental architecture patterns and if required produce high-level designs for handover to other technical resources.

You will be able to demonstrate strong ability, understanding, knowledge and expertise with the below systems, networks, services and applications, including but not limited to:
- Cloud technologies - VRA, Azure, AWS, Cloudformation
- Microsoft SQL Server Design and Administration
- Automation and scripting languages - primarily PowerShell
- Toolsets - Microsoft TFS, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
- Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
- Active Directory
- Certificate Services
- Linux
- Continuous integration/delivery/deployment
