Summary:

The APS6 Procurement will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the objectives.

Responsibilities may include :

  • Working collaboratively with business areas as a procurement business partner to develop market approach documentation, evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts.
  • Managing and/or undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities.
  • Maintaining and enhancing procurement and contract management policies, procedures and frameworks.
  • Providing input into procurement planning activities within the wider Procurement Team and across the Agency.
  • Providing specialist procurement advice and ensuring NDIA procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Procurement Policy to deliver value for money outcomes.
  • Delivering policy advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines (CGRGs).
  • Providing quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders, including guidance and reporting to the Branch Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Team.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with business areas as a procurement business partner primarily in the development of market approach documentation, evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts
  • Experience in managing and/or undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities and the ability to maintain and enhance procurement and contract management policies, procedures and frameworks.
  • Experience providing input into procurement planning activities ensuring these activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements to deliver value for money outcomes.
  • Experience providing specialist procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders and the ability to deliver policy advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines (CGRGs).
