About the Company
Our client is looking to offer a 6-month opportunity to a Cisco Engineer to provide the engineering and technical assurance in overseeing the delivering of the IP/MPLS package of work.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cisco Engineer with strong experience within Network and Security fields to run the design, testing, commissioning, integration, and acceptance of the network.
Duties
- Facilitates technical reviews of high and low-level designs, system architecture and test plans.
- Document the network current state which includes identifying services (PIT, Plant, mine, LTE, CORP) running through various devices.
- Attend Factory Acceptance and Factory Integration Tests to witness and approve equipment for delivery.
- Experience with the Change Management process and explaining technical aspects to non-technical team members.
- Review and verify systems are installed and configured to function as per project requirements and comply with set standards.
- Carry out Site Acceptance Test activities and document findings.
Skills & experience
- Cisco routing and switching
- Exposure with VXLAN technologies
- CCNP / CCIE certifications
- Experience with complex IP solutions
- Experience with LTE networks
- Migration experience with safety critical production network /services
Desirable skills:
- Nokia Routing and Switching skills (SAR 7705 and SR 7750)
- ASA Firewalls, including implementation rule review and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Nokia NMS (NetAct, NFM-P and IOMS services)
- Nokia certification
- Experience in mining industry
