Our Client:
Our client is one of the largest superannuation funds in Australia. Their Technology and Operations team is currently looking for a systems engineer to join their team on a Full time basis. This position is based in Melbourne and would be responsible for the development and daily delivery of ITSM related services.
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Respond to incidents and resolve issues escalated by the service desk team and other business in a timely manner.
- Deliver effective operation, provisioning, installation/configuration, and regular maintenance of the organisation's hardware, software, and related infrastructure; and completing ongoing administrative tasks.
- Assist with monitoring the overall performance of systems to assess the need for updates, upgrades enhancements, preventive maintenance, and new systems.
- Assist with managing and monitoring our hybrid cloud environments to ensure availability and resiliency to supporting the platforms servicing our Members and staff.
- Provide recommendation options for upgrading and improving the performance of systems.
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Extensive experience working with Sharepoint
- Cloud networking/system administration experience in Azure.
- System administration in Windows and Linux environments
- Familiar with Azure cloud operations, Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Office365, VMware, Windows Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies and environment.
- Familiar with one or more scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Python).
