Applications Project Manager
Our client is an innovator in their field and is looking to strengthen their Project management resources by offering a permanent opportunity for an experienced, Applications focussed project manager who operates in an Agile / Scrum environment.
The role:
You will be working with multiple clients concurrently, working from project inception to completion, including project coordination. You will manage all aspects of your projects, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarising the progress of your project status
Duties:
- Delivery of software development projects, using the Agile / SCRUM methodology
- Manage the development of product maps, with functions and features through the definition and estimation process
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Manage a team of up to eight resources through the project
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and report progress
- Manage scope, variation and cost management on the project
- Produce project status reporting, and facilitate project steering committee meetings
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimise project risk
- Mentor junior staff members' to develop individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- Strong, proven working experience in SDLC project management
- Strong knowledge and experience in agile / SCRUM software delivery
- Excellent client-facing and change management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification
