Our Federal Government Client is seeking three (3) Project Managers.

This is a long-term contract role with an initial duration until 30 June 2025, with a potential extension for 12 months, located in Canberra, ACT. Specified personnel will be expected to work full time on site in Canberra for the majority of the contract term, with flexible working arrangements considered after commencement.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Provide strategic planning, mapping, and modelling development.
  • Manage project activities across highly complex ICT projects using established project management methodologies.
  • Develop project documentation to a high standard within identified timeframes.
  • Prepare and maintain the project schedule, manage risks and issues, and prepare progress reports.
  • Manage resources and budgets for projects.
  • Facilitate and conduct requirements progress meetings, presentations, and workshops.
  • Foster positive team ethos and maintain effective working relationships with key management personnel and internal client base.
  • Transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with departmental policies.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with medium to large government organisations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in project scheduling, risk mitigation, and producing high-quality documentation.
  • A good understanding of ICT project management frameworks and methodologies in a government environment.

It is desirable if you have:

  • Experience coordinating a set of related projects within a program of business change.
  • Knowledge of ICT project management frameworks and methodologies.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a minimum BASELINE security clearance.
