DevOps Engineer
- Initial 6month contract with a high profile client in the Perth CBD
- Seeking Azure DevOps, Synapse, DataFactory & Australian Citizenship
- Will consider AU wide based candidates willing to relocate to WA
About the company:
A high profile WA client based close to the Perth CBD.
The role:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer possessing strong technical experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse (OR DataFactory) for an initial 6 month contract that may extend.
(Please note: we require Australian Citizenship for this role and are open to considering AU based candidates who are willing to relocate to WA)
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Utilize Azure Synapse for data integration and analytics in the development and deployment workflows.
- Monitor system performance, ensure reliability, and troubleshoot issues using tools like Neo4J for graph database management.
- Collaborate with software developers, cloud engineers, and other team members to manage code releases and infrastructure changes.
- Implement and maintain tools for configuration management, containerization, and orchestration, leveraging technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Automate and optimize processes to improve efficiency in software development and delivery
- Contribute to the improvement of software development and delivery processes, integrating Python for scripting and automation
Key experience:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in large, enterprise scale environments
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse (or Azure DataFactory), and familiarity with Neo4J.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Strong scripting skills in Python for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of graph databases, such as Neo4J, for effective data management.
- Knowledge of graph analytics solutions, such as Hume.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
