We are closely working with a corporate client seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join on a long-term contract.


About the role

As the Asset Manager, you will be accountable for building and managing a comprehensive asset management strategy for the hardware under the company's control which is delivered into our large, complex and high-profile Government customer located in Tasmania. You will provide oversight and direction for all aspects of the Asset Management including lifecycle, spares holdings, orders, asset logging, asset audits and creating asset database load sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement asset management processes, policies, and procedures in alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • Oversee the entire asset lifecycle, ensuring compliance with organisational and industry standards.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of hardware, and other IT assets using the CMDB.
  • Order assets as per the contract modification request process.
  • Manage the delivery of assets and their allocation to spares, works or delivery to the end users.
  • Report on asset orders weekly and attend weekly meetings to present status to the customer
  • Support the Commercial Manager in the response and submission of Modification Requests to the customer.
  • Provide proof of delivery to End User Organisations to enable Modifications to be invoiced.
  • Manage asset lifecycle including the planning for End of Life and End of Service equipment.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders.



Skills and experience

  • Proven experience working as an Asset Manager or similar roles for large complex environments.
  • Must have a Baseline security clearance or be an Australian citizen that is eligible to obtain a security clearance.
  • Proven experience with working with CMDB.
  • ITIL knowledge of change, problem & incident management
  • Proven experience managing process execution in an ITIL-aligned Service Management
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, use and interpret best practice policies and procedures to ensure adherence.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Current Drivers License
