Our Client:
Our client has a large presence within the Victorian Government, they are currently seeking multiple UX Designers to join on a contracted basis with varying lengths.
The UX Designers play a key role in a large transformation project. This important role will help the organisation to deliver services that meet user needs.
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Lead research activities for designs to ensure that they meet user needs.
- Design low and high-fidelity concepts, prototypes, user interfaces, interactions and components based on user research that enhance the customer experience.
- Create designs that can be added to design systems or digital style guides and component libraries, thoroughly considering user interactions and design patterns, as well as working within multidisciplinary teams, including alongside development teams.
- Communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels and build relationships internally and externally. The ability to collaborate and excellent attention to detail are both essential for this role
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Have demonstrated skill and experience working in sprint cycles, leading research activities, and creating digital interface designs within a design system framework, using sketch.
- Be able to communicate with influence - confidently communicates and presents in a clear, concise, and articulate manner using the most appropriate medium for conveying information.
- Experience presenting designs, rationale and documentation to colleagues, stakeholders, and senior executive. Listens, understands, and adapts communication to audiences. Strong attention to detail.
- Be able to cultivate productive working relationships- builds and sustains relationships with a network of key people internally and externally.
- Have personal drive and integrity - takes personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work.
- Previous experience of designing interfaces in or geospatial mapping tools is highly desirable
- Previous experience using sketch, confluence and Jira is highly regarded.
