The Company:
We are urgently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. The senior SRE will be responsible for helping build the SRE practice, providing operational support, and enhancing applications for reliability and supportability for one of the Australia's Largest Utilities.
The Role:
- Design and develop software with activities that include coding, testing, build and deployment scripting, and configuration in all relevant domains and related technologies
- Translate product owner expectations into fully developed functionality that meets the customer requirements
- Enable production support capabilities such as logging, monitoring and alerting
- Working with relevant colleagues to complete testing
- Working with relevant colleagues to complete service transition to production
- Working with appropriate experts to ensure consistency of the implementation for all components
Technology stacks include:
- Azure DevOps (VSTS) for CI/CD orchestration
- GitHub - source control platform
- Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, Golang for creating custom providers
- API's and web applications are developed in C#
- Azure Data Factory for ETL and data related tasks
For this role, you will need strong experience in the following:
- 5+ years relevant industry experience or demonstrated capability in similar role
- 2+ years relevant experience in either Energy trading or Financial/investment banking industries
- Experience working in an agile team utilising the Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Previous experience working within the scaled agile framework (SAFe) is highly regarded
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices patterns
- Experience with ETL pipelines and data processing
- Good understanding of test driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery and building high quality solutions
