Our client is seeking a Senior Strategy Consultant to join their corporate strategy team. The team is responsible for integrating inputs from other teams / parts of the business to build a cohesive narrative for the board. This is a highly rewarding role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive and support the creation of our annual corporate plan, integrating a complex set of financial and strategic inputs into a cohesive, compelling Board-level narrative. Key stakeholders include central and BU team in Finance, Strategy, and Product, as well as our cross-company transformation program
  • Drive and support the allocation of capital funding in close alignment with our strategic priorities. This includes preparation of material for the CEO and the CEO leadership team
  • Drive the communication of strategies and recommendations to business stakeholders. This includes both written and oral presentation development and delivery.
  • Provide rigorous analysis to support the rationale, financial impact, and risk assessments of strategies and specific initiatives, primarily at a whole of enterprise level
  • Maintain and develop effective working relationships with peer groups and key stakeholders across the business as well as industry contacts and global peers
  • Monitor long-term trends (incl assessment of opportunity and threats to the business), across the domestic and global telco, IT, media and adjacent industries

Experience and skills required:

Essential

  • Experience in a major corporate strategy consulting firm (minimum of 1 years) OR top advisory firm (minimum of 2-3 years)
    OR internal strategy function focused on advising senior executives on key strategic issues in a rapidly evolving business environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent professional writing skills
  • Strong relationship management skills with evidence of working effectively with business executives
  • Financial literacy and familiarity with financial statements
  • Affinity for a technology driven environment

Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

High desirable

  • Experience and understanding of the Telecommunications industry will be looked upon favourably, but is not a prerequisite
  • Tertiary qualified, technical/engineering undergraduate degree is a plus, but other degrees (e.g., commerce, law, finance) welcome
  • MBA is a plus
