Our Client:
Our client has a dominant presence within the Victorian Government, they are currently seeking a Senior Product Owner to join on an 8 Month Contract. In this role, you would be responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.
The PO has a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team and ensuring stories meet the user's needs and comply with the Definition of Done.
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Working with the Product Manager to understand high level business requirements/customer needs and translate these into product requirements and release scope.
- Developing user stories that address business requirements and can be added to development backlog.
- Managing the scope and answering vast majority of scope questions that arise in the development cycle.
- Developing/contributing to accept criteria and work with development team to understand acceptance of product features.
- Deeply involved in the road-map planning process to ensure the right priorities are the focus of delivery team, and the correct level of information is understood by the development teams to make accurate decisions around effort
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- 3+ years' experience as an Agile Product Owner preferably with experience in large ICT or government sectors
- Experience with SaaS based CRM and case management solutions such as Salesforce or MS Dynamics
- Experience with data-driven products Data Management & Transformation, Master Data Management (MDM), Decisioning Engine, Business Rules Engine, any custom-built Data Analytics Platform or Machine learning
- Implementation experience with complex data landscapes encompassing large scale data, reporting, analytics, data warehouses, data lakes, reporting and predictive analyst
