Our client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their Transparency and visualisation team. The team is responsible for playing a role in the company's risk framework and to provide strategic guidance to help drive better business and risk outcomes through analytically driven insights.
The role:
- You will develop data, analytics and reporting solutions to assist risk-based decisions and increase efficiency
- Participate in the analysis of risk trends and events using data, analytics and reporting as a tool to provide key stakeholders with insights
- Perform data management and visualisation activities for Financial and Non-Financial Risk
- Perform analytics using data from multiple data sources to support the effective identification, assessment and management of risks across the Group
- Use Design Thinking and Ideation principles in the development of user focused data visualisations
- Support the analysis of risk data to assist risk reporting requirements, including commentary on movements, emerging issues, data linkages, insights
- Maintain close working relationships with Risk teams both within the Business Units as well as at the Group level
- Enhance the level of knowledge and value add of analytics within the wider Risk team by working with various business units, participate in knowledge sharing and capability enhancement initiatives
- Support the Executive Manager, Data Analytics and Reporting Enablement and work productively as a member of a small team, contributing to ad-hoc projects, tasks and requests from Business Units for guidance and advice

The candidate:
- 4+ years of data visualization experience
- Skills in Tableau and SQL
- SAS and D3 experience preferred
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Data analysis and reporting skills with knowledge of analytics
- Key interest in data visualization and innovation in data analytics
- Strong computer literacy, with advanced skills in MS Office products such as Excel, Power Point
- Desired skills in data warehouse solutions, e.g. Omnia & Hadoop
- Ability to work independently and to prioritize, manage and meet challenging deadlines
- Preferably knowledge of Risk Framework elements
- Strong verbal (including presentation) and written communication
- Strong service orientation and well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to seek appropriate pragmatic solutions
- Broad knowledge of banking products
