The client:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join their highly driven team of professionals. This is a large international telecommunications company with an initial 6 month contract with the very real opportunity to extend for some time.
The role:
- The role will be responsible for a project, or multiple projects, that are part of a larger project for this leading telecommunications company.
- You will be working a project with the Telco's business customers in mind
- Scoping, planning and implementing projects
- The positions will involve the management of a stream of a major project and will be responsible for liaising with and maintaining strong relationships with a shared resource pool to achieve project outcomes on time and to budget
- Drive & manage the delivery of projects in the prescribed time, budget and quality standards
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at senior management levels
- Manage internal and external stakeholders to achieve the project objectives
- Technical competency and the ability to learn new technologies
- The ability to think quickly and manage issues under pressure
- Ability to build and sustain an effective team to meet the project objectives
- Allocate, monitor, review and report on financial information
- Development of project plans including scheduling, KPI's, goals and measures
- Experience working with project management reporting tools / software Eg JIRA
The candidate:
- OSS Experience
- Networks / Telco
- Assurance
- PMP or Prince2
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and assertive nature
- Have Tertiary Qualifications or proven solid delivery experience
- Hold Australian Citizenship or be a Permanent Australian Resident
