Our largely sought-after, international mining sector client, is seeking a Project Manager for an initial 6-month contract, based in Brisbane CBD.
Working within the Delivery & Operations team, you will be responsible for the delivery of sustaining and growth IT infrastructure and systems development initiatives for the organization and for specific business units and product groups in the APAC region.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Strong project management and reporting skills
- Solid understanding of the systems development and support lifecycle
- Extensive experience delivering projects in a multi-vendor environment
- Ability to use influence and relationships to work with other (third party) teams
- Ability to work in complex organization environments (ie matrix) and with remote teams
- Ability to plan work to meet deadlines
- Conflict resolution
- Facilitation skills
- Logical and structured decision making
- A keen focus on minimising the impacts that a technology project can have on the end user experience
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple projects at one time
- Operate as a HSE focused team leader to project teams and colleagues;
- Instil a safety culture in the workplace and with vendors through influence and behaviour
Highly Desirable skills/specialities:
- PMBOK, PRINCE2 or PMP certification and/or experienced
- Mining Systems & Infrastructure Implementation experience
- Previous experience delivering in an International Mining company
- Operate as a HSE focused team leader to project teams and colleagues;
- Instil a safety culture in the workplace and with vendors through influence and behaviour
Working on the HSE Environment Data Management System Consolidation Project, Envirosys experience is preferred.
