About the Role
As Junior Project Manager this is an opportunity where you can build on your project management career. You will be responsible for undertaking aspects of project management within their IT environment.
You will need to manage and adhere to the organisational standards, while ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, to quality defined within the agreed scope. You will manage a variety of small projects end to end across their capital works environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and report on project budgets, scope, issues and risks for small sized projects
- Communicate project deliverables to key stakeholders
- Develop and control project schedules and planning activities
- Develop and implement project management plans and other project artefacts
- Develop and implement organisational change management plans
- Support large projects throughout the project lifecycle, as required
- Ensure that ICT governance procedures/processes and design assurance standards are adhered to
- Manage project teams to ensure project outcomes are achieved
- Provide regular feedback and reporting on project status and identify improvements as required to key business owners
Experience
- Experienced as a Junior Project Manager or Project Coordinator
- Experienced in delivering Business Systems and Applications based Projects
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex ICT projects, comprising internal and external project team members
- Exceptional communication skills and an ability to develop strong stakeholder engagement across business, IT and external teams
- Prefer experience in Mission Critical Systems
- Prefer experience in industries such as emergency, aviation, safety, oil or police etc where system availability is critical
- Prefer a Business or Information technology degree
