Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principle Front End Developer with general knowledge of web technologies/frameworks
Role Responsibilities
- translate technical and market trends into development strategy
- accountable for the analysis, design, development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities
- ensure compliance with endorsed software development methodologies
- develop strategy to ensure high code quality and long-term maintenance
- ensure development productivity and excellence in quality
- provide direction and support to development teams to ensure high quality solutions
- oversee, review, and advise on a range of written material
- proactively drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in front end development
- Experience developing and testing components in a modern JavaScript framework using relevant current web practices (redux, NX, serverless, etc)
- Experience with cloud computing and knowledge of DevOps practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Excellent working knowledge of cross-browser troubleshooting practices and techniques, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and design systems
- Experience with web languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with React/Angular/Vue and code versioning (git)
- Qualifications in a field related to Software Engineering
- Previous experience in government or similar large organisations
