About the role
A truly unique opportunity exists to work on highly complex and successful payment systems that are well positioned to become a world leader in payment technology. We are seeking a DevOps candidate with a minimum of three years commercial experience you will be a strong contributor to our success.

What will you be doing?
- Maintaining and patching office infrastructure as needed. Linux/VM Management
- Co-ordinating production updates to production system
- Running and reviewing vulnerability scans and providing / managing production updates
- Maintaining existing firewalls and configuring new ones as required.
- Creating scripts to manage internal and production systems
- Automating application and infrastructure delivery utilising CI/CD best practices
- Managing AWS environments on a daily basis once migration is complete
- Using AWS tools such as Cloud Formation, Lambda and other serverless offerings to improve day to day operations and solve complex operational issues
- Use Ansible to manage existing virtual environments once in Cloud
- Keeping the hackers and security threats at bay through proactive security measures
- On call participation as part of a support roster
Looking for someone with:
- 3-5 Years DevOps Engineering related experience
- Hands on experience managing day to day operations on Linux systems
- Hands on experience with scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl)
- Experience with Red Hat 7 Enterprise / CentOS 7 operating systems
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices and automating application releases
- Experience with automation (Bamboo, Ansible/Chef, GIT/Subversion)
- Exposure to multi region AWS environment
- Good communication skills with particular focus on explaining AWS services to other technically minded people
