About the role

What will you be doing?

  • Maintaining and patching office infrastructure as needed. Linux/VM Management
  • Co-ordinating production updates to production system
  • Running and reviewing vulnerability scans and providing / managing production updates
  • Maintaining existing firewalls and configuring new ones as required.
  • Creating scripts to manage internal and production systems
  • Automating application and infrastructure delivery utilising CI/CD best practices
  • Managing AWS environments on a daily basis once migration is complete
  • Using AWS tools such as Cloud Formation, Lambda and other serverless offerings to improve day to day operations and solve complex operational issues
  • Use Ansible to manage existing virtual environments once in Cloud
  • Keeping the hackers and security threats at bay through proactive security measures
  • On call participation as part of a support roster

Looking for someone with:

  • 3-5 Years DevOps Engineering related experience
  • Hands on experience managing day to day operations on Linux systems
  • Hands on experience with scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl)
  • Experience with Red Hat 7 Enterprise / CentOS 7 operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices and automating application releases
  • Experience with automation (Bamboo, Ansible/Chef, GIT/Subversion)
  • Exposure to multi region AWS environment
  • Good communication skills with particular focus on explaining AWS services to other technically minded people
