Title: Business Process Analyst

Reporting Line: Process Improvement Lead

Location: Ultimo

Duration: 6 months

Rate: $500-590+ super /day = $646.05/day all inc

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience undertaking qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and best practice in order to assist with determining priorities for business process improvement.
  2. Experience in reviewing and analysing business processes, procedures, and work instructions for business functions, including systems and applications, to identify process gaps and to enable development of improvement strategies.
  3. Experience in supporting business owners with strategic alignment between organizational and business unit strategies, policies, processes and procedures.
  4. Undertake systems and manual process analysis, process design and modelling.
  5. Demonstrated high-level capability to use enterprise level process modelling platforms e.g. ARIS to capture policies, processes, procedures etc.
  6. Demonstrated high level computing skills including MS Office software suite, and knowledge and contextualized understanding of corporate systems.
  7. Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between Strategy & Operational Process enablement
  8. Experience in applying policies, procedures and practices.

About the position and responsibilities:

The Business Process Analyst is responsible for consulting with business stakeholders to document and identify process gaps, to enable the development of improvement strategies to support business owners' strategic goals.

  1. Undertake systems and manual process analysis, process design and modelling.
  2. Analyze and review business processes, procedures, and work instructions for business functions, including systems and applications, to identify process gaps and to enable development of improvement strategies.
  3. Undertake qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and best practice in order to assist with determining priorities for business process improvement.
  4. Support business owners with strategic alignment between organizational and business unit strategies, policies, processes and procedures.
  5. Develop supporting material and provide input on training for operational processes.
  6. Develop relationships with subject matter experts within the business to understand end-to-end processes and ensure effective solutions.
  7. Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders and technical staff to determine and resolve issues.
  8. Provide accurate advice about technical issues and solutions to assist with specifying business requirements for new or existing solutions.
  9. Create awareness and understanding of written directions framework and foster a culture of continuous process improvement in business as usual activities to ensure a consistent approach to process improvement.
  10. Place the customer at the center of all decision making.
  11. Work with the Line Manager to develop and review meaningful performance management and development plans.
  12. Understanding relationships between components of processes and the impact of changes.
  13. Communicating complicated processes.
  14. Operating within an environment of system immaturity and significant change.
  15. Influencing staff to engage in and support project work in a period of high activity and competing priorities.
  16. Reaching consensus between key stakeholders on what constitutes 'as is' or 'to be' processes and procedures.
  17. Establishing relationships with stakeholders to develop trust and ensure reliable and accurate information.
  18. Distilling business needs to identify fit for purpose options.
