The client:
Our client is seeking an experienced Back End Developer to join their software development team. The team is responsible for building the company's web and desktop applications. The project currently being worked on involves developing GIS platforms to assist both customers and employees better interact with the company around Geographical Services.
What you'll be doing:
- Understand, analyse and develop web-based solution based on requirements related to telecommunications network and end-user data. Solutions to include custom GIS desktop and web applications, geoprocessing services, APIs, etc
- Develop and maintain web-based and automated mapping and data deliver and collection applications
- Integrate applications with other systems using APIs and REST endpoints
What you'll need:
- Several years working as a Back End Developer
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL - Preferred only
- Server-side programming using NodeJS, PHP, .NET, and Java - Most of ok
- Knowledge of software design patterns such as Model-View-Controller
- Knowledge of how to leverage back end APIs e.g.: REST APIs in JavaScript utilizing XmlHttp Requests
- Amazon Web Services platform (QuickSights and Elasticsearch preferable)
- Building algorithms with disparate datasets using big data analytics tools
- Experience Open source mapping technologies / GIS Spatial matching, 3D maps
