Our Federal Government Client is seeking for Systems Analysts to work as part of a highly motivated and cohesive team using agile approaches to design, develop and support business solutions by creating highly specialised technical specifications.

The System Analyst will work closely with architects, technical development leads, solution design leads, UX design leads, product owners and vendor partners to establish business and technical requirements and drive them through successful and on-time delivery of functionality/optimizations. This role will also help define the requirements and create highly specialised technical specifications which support the required business solutions.

The Deliverables for the System Analyst include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Requirement / user story creation/ Requirements Traceability matrix
  • Refinement of requirements and user stories to form highly detailed technical specifications including in Data warehouse and cloud platforms related products.
  • Pre-analysis of upcoming requirements to advice business and technical teams if changes are feasible or to the technical teams to take design considerations for upcoming requirements.
  • Creation and updating digital workflows, sequence diagrams and API call flows.
  • Capture the test data requirements to support unit and in sprint quality assurance testing.
  • Work in DevOps framework to support the deployed solutions.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years' related experience.
  • Ability to document highly detailed technical specifications from requirements.
  • Functional understanding of Front ends, API patterns, REST.
  • Good understanding and working with Cloud platforms and environments.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of concrete quality control
  • High ability to forge strong working relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Strong communication skills as well as the ability to articulate organizational and business objectives.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Highly desirable: Preferably 7+ years' of relevant experience.
  • Highly desirable: Experience with identifying API from business processes design, understanding of the different integration patterns.
  • Highly desirable: Working with cloud based data and analytics platforms implementation.
  • Experience in creating, working with and manipulating JSON documents.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment using an Agile based method.

The role has an initial 12-month contract with two (2) possible 12-month contract extensions. The services will be performed by the Specified Personnel from the Canberra/Brisbane office, with minimum 3 full days per week in the office.

Candidates must be Australian citizens with active AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
