We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Ready for Growth Team. Hybrid Working Options Available for up to 50% work from home.

This position will be responsible for defining the future state processes for rostering and time recording for all operational teams. They will collaborate closely with the project team to identify and address pain points and opportunities in the current processes to enable the future state processes to be implemented through a series of transition states.

This role will build on the conceptual design to produce implementable processes as part of the broader rostering and time recording operating model.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate and/or define the future roster and time administration process taxonomy
  • Produce standardised templates to Level 5 for each process identified in the process taxonomy in BPMN format
  • Liaise closely with rostering systems projects underway to integrate and align future state processes and define processes for pre and post system implementation.
  • Confirm pain points in current processes across operational teams and prioritise improvement opportunities, liaising with the initiative team on those opportunities. This should use an established methodology such as Six Sigma.
  • Establish clear links with upstream (workforce planning) and downstream (payroll) activities
  • Establish criteria and approval governance for deviation from standardised processes (eg specific team requirements may require tailored process)
  • Collaborate with broader initiative team to establish processes for all in scope teams as part of service delivery and organisational structure design
  • Update or create local procedures to ensure consistency across teams
  • Collaborate with broader initiative team on transition states and capture as is and to be states for impacted teams to inform and assist change management and training needs analysis.
  • Facilitate workshops, liaise with stakeholders as needed to achieve the role outcomes.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ideally experience in designing and improving rostering and time recording processes in an operational environment
  • Understanding of, or ability to quickly learn about, digital tools which could improve efficiency or effectiveness of processes (in addition to in flight roster system implementation projects)
  • Process mapping and process improvement experience, including BPMN
  • Important soft skills: collaborating with, and influencing, internal stakeholders; written, verbal and visual presentation; resilience; flexibility.
