The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for undertaking testing activities including the preparation of supporting documentation and reports. They will be part of a Test team that provides testing services for the project.
The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for the following deliverables within the project:
- Creating testing artefacts, including test plan and test summary report documents.
- Managing and co-ordinating test efforts.
- Ensuring that the testing standards and templates align to organisation's and to the industry practices.
- Mentoring and providing guidance to subject matter experts within the organisation.
- Assist in managing and implementing the test and assurance process for the project.
- Coordinate a test team as necessary.
- Derive and produce test cases and associated test data from detailed requirements.
- Undertake ongoing maintenance of test cases.
- Execute test cases.
- Document results of test cases - there will be a strong emphasis on the accurate and thorough reporting of all results.
- Coordination of testing tasks, resolution and/or escalation of issues impacting testing progress. Monitor testing to ensure adherence to standards.
- Assist in managing the test environment.
- Manage the resolution of any defects that are raised and escalate significant quality concerns to the Test Manager.
- Provide timely updates to the Test Manager.
- Liaise with the Project Manager and Branch staff as required.
Competencies & Skill Level:
- Demonstrated experience in testing mobile applications, websites and single page applications within an Agile software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience of technologies and ICT infrastructure in a large, diverse and complex environment.
- Strong data integration and data load testing experience
- Strong API system testing and integration testing experience across complex applications, working with multiple system owners within a large and dynamic organisation.
- Demonstrated experience with performing different test types, including functional and non-functional testing and compatibility testing.
- Demonstrated project experience and the ability to contribute to delivering project outcomes on time and within budget.
- Experience of testing methodologies and use of test tools such as ALM - Quality Centre, JIRA, Zephyr Scale, Confluence with a good understanding of the software development lifecycle and the role of testing in successful projects delivery.
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate across all levels of the organisation, with customers, vendors and to communicate with technical stakeholders and translate technical matters into non-technical business language.
- Well-developed written communication skills to prepare effective and logical documentation.
- Ability to multitask and work concurrently on multiple projects or work packages.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to facilitate discussions to reach agreed outcomes.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes in a time pressured environment with competing responsibilities and priorities.
Desirable:
- ITSQB Foundation Level Testing Certificate.
- Experience with testing different web and mobile applications.
- Experience with testing Microsoft Azure products include Azure B2C, DevOps and Microsoft Dataverse
