We are currently seeking 2 senior HFC Engineers for a major telco operator.
Reporting to the Senior technical specialist you will be responsible for the planning and engineering of HFC service platforms and TEBA POI rollouts
The role will manage HFC network capacity and performance, upgrade and node splits for capacity enhancements and assiting with the HFC/NBN integration planning activities.
You will assist in the deployment of new TEBA POI builds and upgrades to deliver MLLe & TWEA services
Successful candidates for this role must have the following skills and experiences:
- Tertiary education with degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or Telecommunication
- Minimum 5 years post qualification, relevant extensive professional engineering experience in telecommunications, network planning and design
- Very good understanding of RF and Aerial Fibre network architecture w.r.t build and construction
- Prior experience in a capacity planning and performance management role
Be familiar with Access and Core transmission platforms (SDH, Carrier Ethernet and DWDM)
- Proficient to advanced in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project , MS Power point
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- confident in internal and external stakeholder engagement
