Job Title: Senior Developer- Analytics and Visualisation
Location: Canberra/ Open for hybrid work
Duration: 12 months with possible extension

The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver whose thinking is based on mathematical fundamentals and utilising the available tools to solve business problems. You will have demonstrable experience in delivering results with data and automation of analytical assets having enabled success in Organisations from Private and/or Legislated environments.
Using the data from multiple sources, the Developer will work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and address them though data and analytics. The Developer will be an excellent communicator capable of effectively communicating with senior leads, technical staff and business areas in an audience-appropriate manner.

Skills and Experience
* Expert level SQL and/or SAS Skills with a minimum of 8 or more years in Business Intelligence/ Data arena. Experience in Python building analytical assets such as Forecasting, Predictive Modelling and Optimisation will be highly regarded.
* Experience in working with raw data, drawing compelling and actionable insights via visualisations.
* Experience in visualisation tools such as SAS Viya, Tableau, Qlikview or similar will be well regarded.
* Experience with testing and validating data, designing products with accessibility and user experience in mind.
* Demonstrable knowledge of CI/CD Practices, Project tracking software (Ex- JIRA) and version control (GIT, Bitbucket).
* Desirable- knowledge in various reporting objects such as hierarchies, prompts, parameters, filters, custom calculated items and XML editing in SAS VA/Tableau.
* Certifications in any of the tools listed above will be well regarded
Supplier Briefing Details
* Technical Role - does not have direct reports
* Heavily focused on Data and Analytics
* Work with data from Enterprise Data Warehouse
* Use raw data that is not in the warehouse that must be cleaned and made sense of to write reports for CEO, Board, or Ministers to make informed decisions.
* Create reports with actionable data insights
* BU to support are the Risk Management and Crisis Coordination and Business Continuity Teams. They are responsible in managing risks and safety for participants
* Hybrid - 2 days work from home, 3 days in the office
* Open to all major and metropolitan cities in Australia

Skills Required
* Someone with requisite skillsets as outlined in PD
* Developer background
* Expertise in SQL and SAAS
* Python experience is highly regarded
* Proficiency in using visualisation software such as Tableau, Power BI, Oracle
* Emphasis in strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage basic codes
* Open to both public and private sector experience

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and ability to obtain Security clearance.
