We are currently recruiting for a UX Designer to work in a dynamic team environment for a leading provider of education and training in Australia (University).
About the role
The successful candidate works across the entire lifecycle of the design process, from research, developing prototypes, and testing to completed production ready UX and UI designs. The role works across a range of products and services in a team/s to ensure design and customers experiences are improved.
Responsibilities
- Undertake research and discovery activities and assist the Design Manager in planning and facilitating qualitative and quantitative research including supporting and running workshops and interviews and auditing existing research
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to co-design potential solutions independently on small and less complex projects in order to prototype and test designs.
- Define research objectives, developing scripts and test plans, participant recruitment and facilitating sessions in order to plan and conduct User Testing
Skills and experience
- Degree and or qualification in design or equivalent significant experience
- Experience in the end-to-end product design process, developing and maintaining design systems, managing design activities across the user-centred design process including strong design research skills, design thinking, prototyping and facilitation of usability testing
- Experience in creating and delivering production ready UX, UI designs that is accessible across platforms, in collaboration with developers combined with an ability to clearly articulate and effectively rationalise design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams
- Skilled in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and collaboration tools such as Miro and a knowledge of accessible design practices including latest WCAG standards
- Self-manageable, effective communication, collaborate working, think and solve problems
