The role:
As part of a wider IT Team, you will report directly into the Infrastructure Manager and work alongside a collaborative team of Infrastructure specialists. As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the support and administration of all infrastructure within the organisation whilst playing a key role in the implementation of transformation and integration projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support and administer O365, MS Exchange, Citrix, datacentres, VMware, and WAN/LAN environments.
- Deliver new technology projects and solutions that align and support the company's objectives.
- Provide operational support to the Infrastructure and Service Desk teams, including system administration, testing, and problem resolution.
- Ensure the security and high availability of systems with tasks including risk management reporting, proactive monitoring, pen tests, backups, disaster recovery, and patching.
- Carry out configurations, builds, upgrades, migrations, decommissions of servers and systems.
- Provide on-call support for critical incidents and travel to site when necessary to complete hardware deployments.
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in a similar IT infrastructure role
- 3rd level experience supporting mid-sized infrastructure environments
- Experience across the Microsoft Stack (O365, Exchange, Azure) and Citrix
- Experience with virtualised datacentre technologies (VMware, Azure), networking (firewall, routing, switching, VPNs, VeloCloud SD-WAN, etc) and VoIP
- Experience with ITIL and Security Governance Frameworks and next gen/cloud-based security solutions
