Hosting Infrastructure Engineer
- Initial 6 months contract with global industry leader
- Requires VMWare, SCCM, MS Server & Cisco skills

A global, industry leading client located in the Perth CBD is seeking a highly passionate Infrastructure Engineer who will be part of a team of technology experts running an operations centre in the Perth CBD.
Key experience:
- Experience providing data centre operations services and expertise to enterprise clients is required, specifically:
- Experience with VMWare operations, Windows Server operations (preferably Microsoft Windows Server 2016), Storage technology operations, Microsoft SCCM, SCOM
- Strong SME skills in one of the following technologies is required
- Storage technologies (NetApp and EMC technologies -Unit Data Domain, VNX, Isilon).
- Compute technologies, including CI and HCI platforms (NetApp FlexPod, EMC VxBlock, VxRail, Cisco UCS).
- IT Service Management processes and tools (preferably ServiceNow)
- Excellent communication and client support/ troubleshooting skills
Responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of critical incident resolution, driving incidents to closure.
- Rapidly troubleshoot and solve complex technology problems to restore production system availability in a structured, timeous manner.
- Manage and execute infrastructure BCP and DR processes when required.
- Review root cause of incidents and work with appropriate teams to ensure continuous improvement of the technology environment.
- Apply effective risk controls to identify potential threats and minimize or remove a service impact.
