About the Role
Project Engineer with a telecommunications and transport infrastructure background, preferably from the rail industry to deliver a variety of projects. You will provide planning, engineering, project management and site construction support for projects, whilst providing technical advice to support the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and key stakeholders
- Run workshops
- Carry out site surveys
- Work with Project Managers, Design Engineers and Technicians
- Work on scoping, initial costing, and planning for the project.
- Assist in preparing the PMP and project documentation including safety plans, environmental plans, IWP, ITP and quality plans; detailed cost estimates, schedules and resource requirements
- Assist in project controls for cost and progress reporting
- Coordinate risk management workshops and safety reviews
- Coordinate project teams to ensure safety in design and constructability reviews
- Monitor and report project progress against the project plan
- Coordinate handover process for completed works to stakeholders
- Coordinate the close out of defects and ensure re-work is captured, measured and reported
- Undertake site construction activities, mobilising, constructing and demobilising, maintaining safe work practices
Experience
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer or Telco Project Coordinator role
- Experienced in complex environments
- Experience in project delivery and engineering works
- Prefer experience in a rail environment
- Experience in Scheduling, Project Reporting and Administration
- Experienced in running workshops
- Demonstrated experience in providing engineering support
- Experience in project management support, such as estimates, schedules, budgets and cost, planning resources, project controls and status reporting and quality.
- RIW Card or the ability to gain one
