A highly technical IT Consultancy industry located in Perth is seeking a highly passionate Infrastructure Engineer. Responsibilities include:
- Server installation and configuration. Cloud migrations and ongoing management of cloud systems
- Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services, including switches, routers, firewalls and VPN, File Server/Sharepoint configuration, tuning and monitoring
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configuration(s).
- Consulting to clients regarding their business needs and our capability to support those needs through IT projects.
- Schedule regular meetings with clients to discuss current projects and upcoming works, maintenance times.
- you will be the point of escalation for the more junior engineers and a focal point for clients
Key experience:
- 8+ years of prior IT experience. Prior experience working for a service provider is essential.
- Experience working with Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft 365, Storage Technologies, Networking technologies
- Server virtualisation using VMware, KVM and other virtualisation platforms, System/Application install and management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone or in person.
- Demonstrated written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and work with various customers and management levels.
- Network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting experience are a must.
