<span id="mce_marker" data-mce-type="bookmark"></span><span id="__caret">_</span><span id="mce_marker" data-mce-type="bookmark"></span><span id="__caret">_</span>As a member of the Infrastructure Team, the Infrastructure Engineer (Storage and Backup) is responsible for system storage and backup maintenance and administration activities of the SCADA systems infrastructure.
You will be required to participate in the day-to-day activities such as patching, disaster recovery, backups, regression testing and maintenance on all servers for the SCADA infrastructure comprising approximately 200 servers, 80 Desktops
Position requirements
Tertiary qualifications at degree level in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
Extensive knowledge and experience in Backup & Storage infrastructure in a complex mission critical environment.
Extensive knowledge and experience in backup & disaster recovery
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability in the production of required backup & storage architecture deliverables using accepted standards and notations
Sound leadership and management skills to facilitate delivery of work by self and others
Knowledge of Security compliance standards such as NERC CIP and CIS-20 would be advantageous
Strong hands-on experience in the areas of Windows Server, Linux Servers, Veeam Backup & Replication, Enterprise Class Storage like HPE 3 Par, Nimble and Store one
Problem solving approach

Understanding of ITIL
