DevOps Engineer
Our client is an established Australian federal government agency. They strive for a safe, collaborative and positive working environment. They are currently recruiting for a DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation and optimization.
The successful candidate will be required to confidently enable and empower others to work efficiently, whilst providing mentoring and guidance for team members to ensure that delivered solutions adhere to the DevOps groups best practices.
Role Responsibilities
- Own the CI/CD process together with build/deployment pipelines as well as creation and maintenance.
- Have an in-depth knowledge on the relationship between software, integration, and the infrastructure on which it runs.
- Experience with container-based technologies and their deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Automation scripting using Shell/Python/Lambda.
- Build relationships with other technical teams supporting the function of DevOps in the agency.
- Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Skills and experience
- A computer science, information management systems, or other IT-related tertiary qualification is required.
- Demonstrated at 4+ years' experience working in a DevOps Engineer role.
- Experience in working in an operational environment through ICT management frameworks such as ITIL.
- Demonstrated experience migrating and upgrading enterprise systems for a large organisation.
