The Role

Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Data Modelling specialist to develop various business insights by designing data models, integrations, business Intelligence and data warehouse solutions

Key Skills and Responsibilities

  • The Data Modelling Specialist has a strong focus on developing various business insights by designing data models, integrations, business Intelligence and data warehouse solutions.
  • The role covers administration/development of the organisations database(s) - including installation, configuration, upgrade, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • This role has both a data and analytics component, with a strong focus on data models, data visualisations that translate and deliver solutions, transforming data into insights for the Organisation.
  • The role also supports the administration/development of reporting solutions using either Power BI or SSRS.
  • You will be providing BAU support (SQL Server/SSRS/Power BI as needed to diagnose issues with disparate systems, to liase with the business in escalation and resolution of issues. Requirements gathering and extraction of data as driven by the business.
  • This role will be enhancing the organisations data and analytics eco-system and helping in the creation of a strong, trusted, and sustainable data foundation and information delivery service.
  • You will be translating complex information systems into easily understood representations of data in data marts and data warehouses by applying data modelling techniques and tools in order to facilitate business performance management and corporate decision making.

Key Experience

  • Strong technical skills on Microsoft BI stack -SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI
  • Proficiency with TSQL, writing store procedures, views and functions and troubleshooting SQL Server performance
  • Expert knowledge of data warehousing concepts, terminology, and architectures and achievement in creating data warehouse architectures including strong previous development skills with ETL, ODI, and SQL Development
  • Experience in working with large volumes and complexity of data, and cleansing where needed
  • Proven experience with the data and analytics governance
  • Qualifications in a technology related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Database administrator, database developer and Reporting Analyst
  • Certified SQL Server Technology
  • Ability to maintain and create reporting solution independently using (SSRS / PowerBI)
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Python or Scala is Desirable
