About the Role
- Assist the Data Insights program, Digital Services, Strategy and Transformation to develop integrations within the Education Directorate's Data Warehouse platform, ingest data and debug issues to engage students and transform learning and teaching in ACT public schools.
- Development of data warehouse and data stores applications which includes extraction, ingestion, transformation and data loading.
- Support and maintain existing data centric solutions and applications, which include the development of ETL/ELT applications, OLAP models and reporting data objects.
- Develop, test and validate data centric applications in a data warehouse environment
- Undertake code reviews.
- Write and maintain documentation of developed data applications and data models.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data models in conjunction with senior technical team members.
- Complete assigned tasks and daily task status updates through stand-ups.
- Resolve incidents that affect the production of data reporting applications.
- Provide support for ad-hoc data challenges and queries raised by business users.
- Provide input, technical recommendations and active collaboration of data solutions and new data development initiatives.
- Commitment to modelling and demonstrating the ACT Government Code of Conduct and leading safe work practices in accordance with the Directorate's Work Health and safety policies, procedures and responsibilities.
Highly Desirable
- Azure platform experience
- Azure Analysis Services, SQL Server Analysis Services experience
- Azure Synapse experience
- Azure Data factory experience
- Programming/scripting experience in either SQL, TSQL, Powershell, Python
- Microsoft DevOps experience
- Experience in working in an Agile Project delivery environment
